Our Purpose
The purpose of the Children’s Ministry is to equip children with a strong foundation in the Bible and to create an atmosphere where they will experience the love of their Heavenly Father. 

 

Our Beliefs

We believe that according to the Bible, anything of and by the Holy Spirit are available to adults and children of all ages. Children are fully capable of receiving all that Christ intends for His people including: salvation through the blood of Jesus, water baptism, the baptism of the Holy Spirit,communion, and operating in the gifts of the Spirit. We believe that our children are not just the “church of the future” but have an important place in the church and the Kingdom of God today. We believe that we are here to help children understand their part in the vision of LECF which is, “Loving God and equipping people to impact Erie and the World with the Kingdom of God”.

 

Commission to Parents and Our Commitment to Children

We believe that as a parent, it is your responsibility to teach and feed your child spiritually. We encourage you to teach your child at home the ways of a passionate follower of Christ Jesus. Some ways of doing this are daily praying and reading the Bible with your child.  Also, living a life that exemplifies Christ, demonstrates to others how to live for Him.

As you already know, your child cannot eat food once a week and still live a physically healthy life. The same is true with your child’s spiritual health. He/she must be fed spiritually every day. Yet, the spirits of many children are being fed only on Sundays.  We realize that as children’s ministers, we have an extraordinary opportunity to pour into these hungry ones.  We are honored to have the opportunity to partner with you and help with their spiritual growth.

We provide a safe place where children are experiencing God’s goodness and truth through the gifts of the Spirit, times of powerful worship, effective prayer (including hearing God’s voice), and creative teachings. We are committed to show children who God says they are through scripture, prayer and prophesy. Our heart is to show them how they are all called to impact the world with the power of Christ.
 
The Curriculum
Your child will be challenged with similar topics that are taught in our adult services. Each lesson will be broken down in a way that children can understand and apply to their lives.
 
Registration and Procedures
Registration begins at 10:20am.  Please, understand that you must "sign out" your child promptly following the service.  This ministry is provided for children ages 3-12 who are completely potty trained.  (The nursery is available for children not yet potty trained.)  Be aware that our volunteers are not permitted to assist any children in the restroom.
